Sapphire’s First Mating

It had been decided by the Sheikh that Sapphire was to be mated so the next few days would be spent getting her ready for that event, Fatima told Sapphire. She also said the vet would be checking Sapphire in order to ascertain whether she was in season, in which case she would be covered by Scimitar. Sapphire shivered at the thought but knew that she had no choice.

Sapphire was taken along to the breeding pens in order to get her used to the area. The pens were smaller versions of the main stalls except that there was an area outside in the form of a run, where the mare or stallion could walk up and down. A three-foot high wicker fence with a gate just a few feet from the stall end fenced off each pen’s run. There were no other animals at the pens when Sapphire was brought through. She was settled in and the gate opened to allow her access to the outside. Towards the end of the run, there was a frame, which Sapphire didn’t recognise. She walked cautiously forwards to inspect it. Fatima explained that Sapphire would be tethered to the frame while the stallion would be mounting her. Sapphire walked right around the frame noting the bars and rings, to which she presumably would be fastened.

Sapphire was taken to the pens every day for a week, getting more and more acclimatised to the place and less frightened of it. Finally the day came when Sapphire spent the night there. The following morning, while Sapphire was outside she looked across and several runs away she saw a mare being tethered for mating. A few moments later she saw a stallion being put to the mare. Sapphire was fascinated by the sight and didn’t take her eyes away until the act was finished. Fatima, who had been watching, went out to check Sapphire’s vaginal area and found quite a bit of moisture where Sapphire’s juices had been flowing. Fatima smiled, and went to report to the Sheikh that, in her opinion, Sapphire was ready for mating.

Sapphire was kept in the pens overnight once more and let out in the morning. Later, when she had gone back in, she heard movement in the pen next door; her mate, Scimitar, was being brought in. Fatima took Sapphire outside into the run while at the same time Scimitar’s groom led him out into his run. The fence between the runs was waist high and when Sapphire looked over she was greeted by Scimitar with a huge erection. She didn’t think she would be able to accommodate it. Sapphire had only ever had one penis inside her and that was her former husband’s. His penis was about half the size of Scimitar’s. Scimitar leant across to nuzzle her and she pulled back. Fatima, who had Sapphire’s bridle in her hand, laughed and gently pulled Sapphire back towards Scimitar. Gradually Sapphire allowed Scimitar to nuzzle her and she responded by nuzzling him back.

As soon as Sapphire started responding to Scimitar’s advances, the grooms opened the gate to allow Scimitar access to Sapphire’s area. Sapphire backed cautiously away but when she reached the fence on the other side of the pen she stood still for Scimitar to move forward and nuzzle her. The introductory ‘courtship’ lasted about half an hour and the two grooms both considered that Sapphire was ready. Sapphire was taken to the breeding frame and tethered to it. The tether consisted of hitching Sapphire’s reins to one of the lower bars on the frame. This allowed Sapphire to raise her head marginally; the only other restraint was a hobble chain that went across the back of her ankles. Being restrained in this manner allowed Sapphire a certain amount of movement during the actual insemination.

Scimitar was being held back while the process of tethering Sapphire was carried out, during which time the Sheikh arrived for the ceremony. The Sheikh moved to the front of Sapphire and took hold of her head, stroking her and talking to her in Arabic, which, although she didn’t understand what he was saying, calmed her so that she was relaxed and ready for Scimitar. The Sheikh gave a slight nod and Scimitar’s groom, having lubricated his penis, led him forward, holding his reins tightly so that he didn’t rush Sapphire and spook her. She needn’t have worried; Scimitar was too old a hand at this sort of thing. He walked slowly but purposefully up to Sapphire and allowed his penis to rest in between Sapphire’s thighs but without attempting to enter her. He stood still for a few moments and then bent forward to nuzzle Sapphire on the back of her neck. He could tell that this excited her as she was desperately trying to get him to enter her by moving back on him as far as she could. Still he didn’t mount her but started nipping her on the neck and ears. By this time Sapphire was beside herself with pleasure and need. Finally as Scimitar mounted her, Sapphire let out a long low whinny and closed her eyes. Scimitar moved slowly into her and rested, then equally slowly moved back out again. He performed this action two or three times with Sapphire trying desperately not to let him come out of her. A few minutes of slow thrusts by Scimitar caused Sapphire to orgasm.

Although Sapphire had been brought to an orgasm Scimitar had by no means finished with her. He stayed quite still inside her for what seemed like an age; so long in fact that Sapphire was thinking hysterically that he had fallen asleep. As that thought took hold of her Scimitar started thrusting again. This time his thrusts were long and fast. Each time he thrust forward, Sapphire could feel his testicles slapping at her vagina. The thrusts became faster and more urgent and then just as Sapphire was reaching an orgasm once more, so too, did Scimitar, shooting jet after jet of creamy semen into Sapphire’s belly. Sapphire could not remember anything to beat the feeling that this double orgasm brought on. She had had many orgasms since becoming a pony girl, all brought about by mechanical means. This was the first time she had been brought to an orgasm of this intensity by a penis.

At the end of the mating ritual, Sapphire had expected to be taken back to her usual stall, so she was more than a little surprised to find she was back in the breeding pen. Fatima, seeing Sapphire’s worried look, told her that just because Scimitar had covered once, did not necessarily mean that he had impregnated her, so they would have to mate several more times to be on the safe side.

The following morning Sapphire was taken to the breeding frame but this time she wasn’t tethered, she was just encouraged to lean over it. Scimitar, who was already in Sapphire’s pen, was having his member lubricated, and by the snorts and whinnies he was making, was enjoying it very much. As soon as Sapphire had leant over the frame Scimitar was released from his groom’s hold and went straight up to Sapphire and without any preliminary nuzzles or licks, entered her. Sapphire for her part hadn’t expected this approach but as soon as Scimitar was inside her she felt the same urges again as previously. This time she had a chance to explore her feelings; she felt Scimitar’s huge penis right up to her cervix; she felt it touching every nerve end in her vagina and she certainly didn’t want it to stop. Scimitar brought Sapphire to three tremendous orgasms before he himself ejaculated. As last time, Sapphire experienced the force of his semen spurting into her belly.

Scimitar was put to Sapphire again that afternoon, and twice daily for the next three days whilst Sapphire was in season. At the end of her season they were parted and Sapphire was taken back to her stall where the vet examined her. After a few days Sapphire was declared ‘in foal’ and all the staff celebrated the news.

Sheikh Tariq Mohammed called a meeting with Fatima, Soraya and Sapphire’s trainer to discuss Sapphire’s treatment over the coming months. It was decided that Sapphire would still be taken on the run into town and back for the first three months, longer if she was fit enough. From the fourth month to the sixth month, Sapphire would be exercised on the treadmill, but at the slowest pace and finally from six months onward she would just be exercised with a walk round the training arena.

It was also decided that once Sapphire had delivered her foal, she would be trained back to race fitness as quickly as possible. As the months went by Sapphire was found to be in excellent health and eventually she gave birth to a fine filly. The name given to this filly was ‘Blue Sword’.

Sapphire was kept with her filly for two weeks and then she was moved back to her stall, only taken back twice a day to allow the foal to suckle. For the rest of the feeds Sapphire was milked and the milk stored for use when needed.

At the two week stage Sapphire was put into strict training in order to bring her back to race fitness. Immediately after her morning town run she was taken to the gallops and given a long workout. Sapphire’s training was vigorous and over the next couple of months she got fitter and fitter until her trainer declared she was ready for competitive racing again. Sapphire on hearing this news was delighted, she just loved the atmosphere of race day and all the attention that went with it.

The African Championship

Three weeks later Sapphire was crated ready for transportation to the venue of her first competitive race since giving birth. Just before Fatima placed the lid on the crate she told Sapphire that the race would be taking place in the southwest corner of Africa, in a small country called Luandrau. The race would be for the Champion of Africa, and if Sapphire won this race her next race will be for World Champion. This race has been organised by the IFHEO (International Federation of Human Equine Owners). It is a race that will be run every two years and will comprise of the winners of National Championships worldwide.

While she was in the air, Sapphire contemplated what Fatima had said, given the fact that she had not had a competitive race for almost a year; Sapphire wondered whether she could make the World Championship. Then she reasoned, ‘I am the national champion of Britain and Europe and also the winner of the Pan Arab Cup, I have never lost a race and I am trained to the hilt so I could have a good chance.’ Then the doubts started until finally Sapphire shook herself mentally and told herself she wasn’t a defeatist, she just needed to win this next race to get her confidence back.

With those thoughts Sapphire drifted off to sleep. When she woke she found that she had been off-loaded from the plane and was actually on a truck heading for her stable. At the stable Sapphire was greeted by Fatima and Soraya who made a great fuss of her.

On the morning of the race Soraya had Sapphire out early getting her limbered up. Soraya could tell Sapphire was at the peak of her fitness and that if she didn’t win it would probably be because the other mares were better. Having looked the rest of the field over, Soraya doubted very much if any of them were capable of beating Sapphire. At least three of the mares were old and were well past their prime. The only mare Soraya was uncertain of was a young mare, more an older filly really, called Phoenix. This mare looked quite strong but when checking her form, Soraya found she was inexperienced, having only run three races and not won any.

At the off Phoenix was away like a rocket, she was twenty yards up on the rest of the field before anyone realised. Sapphire tried going after her but Soraya held her in check. Sapphire stopped fighting the reins because she realised that Soraya knew what she was doing. Sapphire settled into a steady canter and gradually she could see the distance between her and Phoenix shortening. At the two furlong mark Soraya finally gave Sapphire her head and the mare went sailing past Phoenix and won by ten lengths.

Everything was now ready for Sapphire’s next big test, her biggest, to be precise. The World Championship would be contested in three months time. The venue was to be announced three days from now. Once the venue had been decided then Sapphire’s stable would know what kind of preparations she would need for the race. The Sheikh had decreed that Sapphire was to be stabled in the country where the race was to be held in order that she should get acclimatised to the atmosphere.

World Championship

When the announcement that the race would be held in Borosia, a country in Northern Europe, came, the Sheikh made arrangements for a large contingent of staff to accompany Sapphire to the stable he had hired until after the race. Once more Sapphire was crated up for her journey. She had been transported this way so many times that it had become second nature to her.

By the time race day arrived Sapphire had been in the country for 11 weeks; long enough to get used to the climate and temperature, so that she couldn’t be fitter. This race would be the ultimate test; every one of the other mares had not been beaten in competitive races, as had Sapphire.

There were twelve runners for the World Championship, Running Water from America; Flightless Bird from New Zealand; Hindu Maiden from India; Inca Princess from South America; Tartan Lady from Scotland; Possum from Australia; Marie Antoinette from France; Dresden Doll from Germany; Geisha Girl from Japan; Venetian Bride from Italy; Ying-Yang from China and Sapphire.

The start of the race was a bit of a free for all with all the drivers trying to get their particular mare to the front. Sapphire was boxed in to begin with but once the race got under way, Soraya settled her in mid-field, being content to let others make the early pace. Ahead of Sapphire were Possum, Marie Antoinette, Ying-Yang, Inca Princess and Tartan Lady.

The pace was steady and Sapphire was running well within herself. By the halfway stage Sapphire had passed Possum and Marie Antoinette. Within two furlongs from home she had caught up with Inca Princess and Tartan Lady. Soraya had notice a gap between the other, Ying-Yang and Inca Princess and nudged Sapphire through it. That’s when it happened, just as Sapphire was passing her, Inca Princess' driver lashed out with her whip and caught Sapphire squarely between her breasts. Sapphire stumbled momentarily but recovered quickly. The damage was done, however, by the time Soraya had got Sapphire back into a rhythm, both Possum and Marie Antoinette had recaptured their lost ground. Sapphire meantime was running partially blind because the pain was causing tears to form in her eyes. She was running with pure venom in her, in all the races she had run nobody had ever lashed out at her. She couldn’t feel the blood that was running down her chest and belly; she couldn’t even feel the pain on her cheek, because she was that incensed. Soraya, sensing that this was a good time to let Sapphire go, dropped the reins over Sapphire’s back, letting Sapphire know that she was free to go at her own speed. Sapphire didn’t need any more encouragement; she lengthened her stride and pounded after the other mares. She quickly caught up and passed Possum and Marie Antoinette again. Now there was only Ying-Yang, Tartan Lady and Inca Princess in front of her. With 25 yards to go, she had passed Tartan Lady and Ying-Yang. Her sights were now set on Inca Princess; Sapphire dug into all her reserves of strength and stamina and went hell for leather. At the line it was impossible to tell who had won. Soraya eased Sapphire to a stop and as Fatima and the course vet raced over, she jumped from the sulky and raced towards the driver of Inca Princess, with intent to slap her. Before Soraya reach her target however, there was an announcement over the Tannoy stating that there was to be a Steward’s enquiry. The announcement of the enquiry slowed Soraya up just enough for officials to get to Inca Princess and her driver first and escort them into the winners’ enclosure.

Meanwhile, back on the course, the vet was attending to Sapphire. She had a nasty gash on her chest, which was about nine inches long and fairly deep she also had the start of a nasty bruise on the side of her face. The vet had succeeded in staunching the blood and was in the process of giving Sapphire an injection for the pain when Soraya returned. Soraya was breathing heavily, due in part to her rage at what had happened and in part because she had been running at full pelt. The vet having looked at Sapphire’s injuries said that something sharp and pointed had caused them and when Fatima and Soraya checked they found gouges in Sapphire’s breast straps.

By the time that Sapphire had been taken back to her stall, the result of the Steward’s enquiry was announced; Inca Princess had been disqualified and the winner was Sapphire. There was, of course, understandable jubilation at the news, which was made even better when the Sheikh visited Sapphire and told them that the chief Steward had told him that even if Inca Princess had not been disqualified, Sapphire would still have won, even though it was only by a nipple. There was further celebration when if was announced that Inca Princess' driver had been given a lifetime ban for any meeting held under IFHEO rules. It was discovered that Inca Princess' driver had a whip that contained a brass ferrule with points at the stock. It was the ferrule that caused the gouges and the whip itself that caused the bruising on her face.

It took about three weeks for the bruising to recede but the wound to her chest took much longer. The Sheikh’s own vet decided that the wound would need stitching and warned that although the scar would fade in time Sapphire would have it permanently.

Sapphire was given only gentle exercise whilst the wound healed but she wore it like a badge of honour, walking proud and upright with her breasts pushed out, even though it caused her soreness. Once the stitches were removed Sapphire was put on full training again.

The Sheikh visited Sapphire’s stall every day to check the progress and tell her that she was very brave. This pleased Sapphire more than she could say, although, of course, ‘I can’t speak’ she said to herself. There was a short period of about five days when the Sheikh didn’t come and Sapphire got agitated. Fatima, realising what was wrong, told Sapphire that the Sheikh was abroad and would be back to visit her as soon as he got back.

By the time the Sheikh returned, Sapphire was back to full fitness and raring to race. That’s when she found out the reason for the Sheik’s absence; he had been off to buy another stallion to cover her. Apparently it had been decided that Sapphire would not race competitively again, she would now be used solely for breeding.

It took Sapphire quite a while to get used to the idea that she wouldn’t race again; she didn’t mind being bred, in fact she loved the idea, but not to race was a bitter blow. Fatima assured her that she wasn’t going to be stopped from racing; she would be raced against other mares in the Sheikh's stable, which mollified Sapphire somewhat.
